Colcha realizada por Julia, se ha esmerado en el acolchado, parte ha sido libre, otro con doble arrastre y parte manual. Las aplicaciones con puntada invisible a mano. La colcha ha quedado preciosa, ha puesto mucho cariño en ella, en realidad lo pone en todo lo que hace, pero esta especialmente por ser para un recién nacido de la familia.

This quilt was made ​​by Julia. She worked very hard on the quilting. Part of the quilting was free, another double drag and other parts manually. The applications are done using blind stitching by hand. The quilt looks great. She put a lot of love on the quilt. The truth is that Julia always puts love into everything she does, but more so on this one because it is for a newborn in the family.

Trabajos realizados con la técnica de aplicación a máquina, precioso, lo aprendí en un curso de Eva Gustems, fue un día maravilloso con Eva, tan cercana y agradable, por el buen ambiente entre las participantes, entre las que se contaba mi amiga Conchi  y por el  trabajo realizado. Se trata de aplicación sobre lino a máquina con puntada invisible, los detalles bordados, también a máquina con hilo de lana. Tanto el faro como la casita están realizados con la misma técnica.

Work performed using sewing machine, lovely, I learned it in a course given by Eva Gustems.  It was a wonderful day with Eva, very nice, good atmosphere among the participants, including my friend Conchi, and great work done by everybody.  The work is done on linen with invisible stitch.  The embroidery details are also done on the sewing machine with wool yarn. Both the lighthouse and the cottage are done using the same technique.

Monedero con boquilla

Monedero de Asun, hecho con la técnica Log Cabin con un diseño que ella misma creó, precioso, la combinación de colores estupenda y el detalle de la puntillita le da un toquecillo romántico. Me gusta, me gusta.....

Asun made this purse using the Log Cabin technique with a design she herself created.  It is gorgeous, the combination of colors and the detail of the lace gives it a very romantic touch.  I like it, I like it...

CASITA PARA PAÑUELOS

Preciosa casita  contenedora de pañuelo de Asun,  los pañuelos se sacan por la chimenea. Con un montón de diminutos detalles donde no puede faltar el gato. Mujer amante de los animales y en especial de los gatos, casi en todos sus trabajos, por uno u otro lado tiene que aparecer el animalillo. Según me cuenta, cuando trabaja en casa con algún proyecto de patchwork tiene a uno de los suyos pendiente de lo que hace, se le sube por la espalda, trepa a la mesa, e intenta alcanzar los alfileres y las pequeñas cosas de su caja de costura. Este animal promete, quizás llegue a ser el primer gato aprendiz de patchwork del mundo, no le perderemos la pista.

Beautiful tissue container house made by Asun.  The tissues come up the chimney. With lots of tiny details and of course the cat. Female animal lover, especially cats.  In almost all of her works the little animal appears. As she tells me, when she works at home on her patchwork projects, one of her cats will go up her back, climbs to the table or try to reach the pins and little things from the box seam. This cat is a promise, may be it will be the first cat that learns patchwork world.  We will have to follow his progress!

REGALOS DE MIS AMIGAS

Acerico, regalo de mi amiga Mercedes, ella es una virtuosa de la lagartera, sus trabajos son de una perfección increíble, verdaderas obras de arte. Conservo como oro en paño este pequeño detalle de su arte y cuanto mas lo contemplo mas me gusta.

Pincushion, a gift from my friend Mercedes, she is a virtuoso lagartera, her jobs are incredibly perfect, true works of art. I keep it like gold The more I look at it, the more I like it!

Broche, regalo de mi amiga Mª Carmen, está hecho con una cremallera, es precioso y luce muchísimo en la solapa de cualquier chaqueta o abrigo. Esta mujer hace broches de cualquier cosa, sabe bien aprovechar restos de algo o incluso elementos inservibles como capsulas de café, ella lo del reciclaje lo lleva bien.

A brooch, a gift from my friend M ª Carmen, is made with a zipper, is beautiful and looks very much on the lapel of any jacket or coat. This woman makes brooches of anything, she knows how to use any remains or even useless items like coffee capsules.  She like to recicle.

Por último, regalo de mi amiga Patricia, es un broche de madera pintado a mano. Patricia, otra artista, no hay nada que se la resista, hace todo tipo de manualidades, patchwork y hasta actúa y canta. Una mujer muy completita. Y lo que mis tres amigas tiene en común es que son una maravillosas personas. Tengo suerte de contar con ellas.

Finally, a gift from my friend Patricia. It is a brooch wood hand painted. Patricia, another artist, there is nothing that she can not make. She makes all sorts of crafts, patchwork and she even acts and sings. Very complete woman!  And these three friends have something in common, they are wonderful people. I'm lucky to have them.

Perrito monedero con cremallera, poner la cremallera tiene lo suyo, primero por lo pequeña que es y segundo por ir redondeada, pero bueno aunque se trabaje un poco a la vista del resultado se olvida.

Puppy purse with a zipper.  To install the zipper was hard, first by how small and second becuase it is rounded.  Even if it is a lot of work, it pays at the end when the work is done.  Great results

con el mismo sistema un gato, igual que en el perro, poner la cremallera tiene su pequeña dificultad, aún así me ha encantado hacerlos y mucho me temo que voy a llenar la casa de mascotas.

Same system with a cat.  Like the dog, to install the zippe was a little difficulty, yet I loved them and I fear that I will fill the house with pets!

Precioso juego de sabanas de mi amiga María de Aldaya (Valencia), sabedora de que estas cosas me entusiasman, me las regaló, fueron bordadas por ella, formaban parte de su ajuar de hace mas de treinta años. Me comentaba que tenia mas de 20 juegos, gran parte de ellos no los había usado ni una sola vez. El gran problema de las sabanas de algodón y ademas bordadas es el planchado, doy fe de ello, tengo que confesar que harta de planchar y no dejarlas a mi gusto, he tenido que utilizar un programa de retoque de fotografías para eliminar arruguitas, lastima que esto solo se pueda utilizar en las fotos.....

Beautiful set of sheets from my friend Maria Aldaya (Valencia), knowing that these things excite me, she gave them to me as a present, they were embroidered by her, they were part of her trousseau over thirty years ago. She told me that she had over 20 sets, many of them had not been used even once. The big problem with cotton sheets and also embroidered is the ironing,  I can vouch for this.  I must confess that I am sick of ironing the sheets and at the end they are not to my taste.  I had to use a photo retouching program to remove wrinkles, too bad this can be used only in the pictures .....

Mas sábanas bordadas, esta por mi tía Julia hace mas de 45 años, yo era una niña y me encantaba verla bordar, pasaba tardes enteras mirando como lo hacía. Preciosa, preciosísima

More embroidered sheets, these are from my aunt Julia from more than 45 years ago.  When I was a little girl,  I loved watching her embroider, I used to spent whole evenings watching as she did it. Precious, very precious.
